If you told this couple 7 years ago when they met that their wedding would be delayed due to a volcano in Iceland that shut down European airspace… They would have told you that you were insane. But that is exactly what happened. Jodie and Chris are both from Europe and they called us a week before their wedding saying that they wanted a Videographer because many of their guests would not be able to make the trip from Europe. That phone call was before the Iceland volcano erupted… Then the eruption happened and they then called us a few days later to say that literally NO ONE was going to be able to make it to their wedding and that they were going to have to move their date or not have their wedding at all. My heart sank. I felt so bad for them!!! But with a little luck European airspace opened and they only had to delay the wedding by 5 days. All of the vendors were able to accommodate the change and they had themselves a fantastic wedding at The Phoenician. Jodie and Chris took it all in stride and had I not shared this story you would never have known by the look on their faces the ordeal they had been through. Can you even imagine a fabulous wedding planned and literally no guests all because of a VOLCANO!! You couldn’t make a story like that up!! But it all came together perfectly. In a few years I am sure that they will be able to look back at this situation and laugh, not yet, but maybe someday. Jodie and Chris, way to handle your first challenge as a married couple!!
These AWESOME vendors pulled together and accommodated Jodie and Chris’s situation and definitely deserve a shout out.
