Jeff is an Emmy Award Winning Photojournalist with 10 Emmy Awards and a prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for Outstanding Videography. He oversees the creative aspect of the wedding films and is the Director of Videography and Editing. His videography experience started in Television News 19 years ago as a Photojournalist and Editor shooting and editing the very stories you see on the nightly news. He has worked for FOX, NBC, ABC, as well as CBS and has had the opportunity to shoot and edit events such as The 2006 NCAA Final Four, the Olympics in Salt Lake City, The 2006 and 2007 Superbowl, as well as the 2001 World Series. He left the Television News Business to focus solely on Serendipity Videography and telling your wedding story.

Taryn’s professional experience is in Sales and Marketing where she has worked for NBC, Infinity Broadcasting as well as in the Pharmaceutical Industry doing sales and marketing. She is now the owner of Serendipity Videography and is the Director of Sales and Marketing working with all of the brides and grooms in determining their videography needs for their wedding day. She takes them all the way through the process from the initial meeting to discuss their vision of their wedding day and how they want it to come out on video to making sure their vision is carried out on their finished wedding film.

People love our name and ask how it came about…. The word “serendipity” means to find something great by accident. That is exactly how Serendipity Videography came about…. Jeff had been working in news for years and was at a crossroads with his career…. We had just had our first baby and the hours and unpredictable schedule of television news just wasn’t working for us anymore. At the time my best friend was getting married and called Jeff up and said “I hate to do this to you because I want you to be a guest at my wedding but will you shoot our wedding film?”. My eyes lit up because I had been telling Jeff that he should shoot weddings for years and this was our opportunity to test the waters. Anyway he shot her wedding and LOVED it. From that moment on we hit the ground running and haven’t looked back since. We love weddings and everything they are about. Most of all after working in the news business for so many years and seeing the doom and gloom everyday in the world Jeff loves being a part of one of people’s happiest day of their lives. Oh and the other reason for the name….. We love the movie Serendipity and we are huge John Cusack fans!
