Dana and Carson had a fall wedding at Sassi. We LOVE shooting at Sassi. They have an incredible venue to shoot a wedding. Gorgeous views and sunsets, an excellent ceremony site with lots of nooks and crannies around the property to take photos and then of course there is the tuscan architecture that just makes the venue feel warm and cozy. Dana was drawn to the signature Serendipity Videography storytelling style that focuses on couples details of their wedding day. It was so important to her to see the look on Carson’s face when he saw her for the first time. The reveal is one of my favorite parts of the wedding film along with the photo session because it is just to intimate and personal. This couple had an incredible photo session guided by the one and only Stuart Thurlkill of Eyes 2 See Photography. Dana and Carson were drawn to each other as you will hear in their interviews and knew quickly that they were meant to be. I love that Carson asked Dana’s dad’s permission for her hand in marriage. I think that is so respectful. Their wedding was a true celebration of their love.

One word to describe Stephanie and Stephen’s wedding day. Perfect….. Perfect setting, perfect decor, perfect band, perfect florals, perfect bride and perfect groom. Their wedding just came together so perfectly. They got married at DC Ranch Country Club in October and there was so much that I loved about Stephanie and Stephen’s day that I don’t even know where to begin…. Stephanie and Stephen are of Stephanie Fay Photography. That is one of the things I loved most about their wedding. It was so incredibly fun to see wedding photographers get married. To see what their vision was of their day and seeing them bring every last detail together. It must have been surreal being a “bride” because Stephanie’s instinct is to be on the opposite side of the camera. Stephanie was a stunning bride. She was going for a vintage Hollywood Glam look and she more than accomplished it with her ruby red lipstick, gold sequined peep toe pumps and fabulous hairdo. She was stunning as she made her way down the aisle in her form fitting strapless mermaid gown. She took Stephen’s breath away. Stephanie and Stephen carried their vintage theme with a shabby chic undertone throughout their reception decor with vintage tea cups and shabby chic bird cages that I hear Stephanie and her mom found at antique stores. Take notice of the super cool chair that Stephanie and her mom made. They are so resourceful! The florals by Petal Pusher were stunning and tied the shabby chic decor together perfectly. Everywhere you looked there was some super cute detail that made you stop and take notice. Stephanie and her mom were the perfect example of what planning a wedding with your mom should be about. It was a journey they took together that brought this tight knit duo even closer together. Besides the fabulous decor their reception was the definition of fun!! Between the Blu Note Party Band and Stephanie’s brother serenading the happy couple with a Lionel Richie classic the night was a blast! It was a unbelievable wedding and a magical night for Stephanie and Stephen. It was truly an honor for us to be there documenting their wedding day.
These vendors were part of making Stephanie and Stephen’s wedding day perfect!

Matt and Lori got married in October at the beautiful Brophy Wedding Chapel and then made their way to The Royal Palms to celebrate their nuptials. It was a gorgeous event planned by the fabulous ladies at Outstanding Occasions. I have made this observation with the OO ladies and it still stands true with Matt and Lori’s wedding. A wedding planned by Outstanding Occasions is always one with a unique and always striking color scheme. One I would not otherwise put together but when I see it it’s pure eye candy. So get ready…. Eggplant, Navy and Red was Lori’s color scheme. I would never think of it, but it was everywhere and it was incredible. One of my favorite details of this wedding were Lori’s sassy Carrie Bradshaw Sex In The City shoes.
Lori and Matt are head over heals in love. You will hear the passion and love that they have for one another in their interviews. Their family and friends were just tickled that they found one another and fell in love. It is so funny how parents just know when their kids have found “the one”. Both of their parents comment on it. Everyone in their life says that they are a perfect match. Thank you to Lori and Matt for allowing us to be a part of documenting your wedding day!

It’s very exciting…. My parents 40th Wedding Anniversary is coming up in May and my parents have decided to renew their vows and do a full on wedding. The first time around they eloped in the middle of the night to Reno and got married. My mom fell into the same trap many of my brides do where the day starts becoming about pleasing everyone else and before you know it your wedding decisions are being made by those around you and you end up with colors your mom picked and a dress your sister thought made your butt look like there was less “junk in the trunk”. So after 40 years together they have decided to celebrate by having the wedding they always dreamed of. Isn’t that so fun??? Well guess who is in charge of the planning process? Literally totally in charge… My mom has given us full decision making power which is awesome! My sister and I and we couldn’t be more delighted!! This is so much fun for me because Jeff and I got married 10 years ago in Maui and I literally planned the wedding in 10 minutes. They sent me a one sheet and I simply had to check the boxes of the things I wanted. While this was convenient I didn’t get to go through the whole process of planning a wedding so this is fun for me especially with all of the cool things they have now!! So my parents have definitely come to the right place with all of the fabulous connections we have in the wedding biz!! So I will be taking you along with me on my journey to plan my parents wedding. So here are the details so far….. They are getting married at the Golf Course where they live and having the reception in the Club House. Next step was determining colors. I jumped on the Style Me Pretty website where we are a Little Black Book Preferred Vendor and looked at their Inspiration Board and showed my mom some different ideas and she fell in love with Navy Blue and Lime Green! Super cute!!! So we are off to a great start!! Stay tuned to our first mission… finding bridesmaid dresses at Twirl Boutique!!!
This is our inspiration…

Natalie and Mike got married on Valentines Day at The Arizona Biltmore. They had a stunning and truly elegant affair. When you walked into the Grand Ballroom the beauty of the decor took your breath away. What I loved about their wedding was that while their wedding was on Valentines Day it wasn’t a Valentine’s Day theme. It was romantic in every sense of the word but there wasn’t one bit of red or even one heart anywhere in their decor. Instead their wedding was full of personal touches from the groom serenading the bride to the tiger striped cake from their Alma Mater Princeton to their favors that were “prescription” cookie tins because they are both physicians. It was all so meaningful and romantic!! We wish Natalie and Mike many years of love and laughter!! Enjoy their Valentine’s Day Wedding Movie Trailer.
