Melissa Jill of Melissa Jill Photography is a fantastic Photographer. A few weeks ago she hosted a 2 day workshop called the MJ 2 Day. She had Photographers from all around the country come and join her for the event. In that 2 days she shared with them tips and tricks of the trade, did a mock Engagement Shoot and taught them all about how to grow their biz. Melissa is an open book. She will tell you anything you want to know about her business. She is not worried about giving away the secret to her success. She wants to mentor and help people grow their businesses which I think is awesome considering how competitive the wedding photography world is. Anyway she asked Serendipity Videography to shoot her MJ 2 Day and put together a Video Trailer. It was a lot of fun to shoot and we edited it to fit her sassy style. The MJ 2 Day was such a smashing success that she has already planned for another one in October. Space is limited so be sure and sign up!!
Serendipity Videography has a wedding featured in the May-June issue of The Wedding Chronicle. The featured wedding was with one of our fabulous couples Angelica and Robert Shaw from back in November. I loved this couple because they were both Pharmacists but the similarities ended there….. They were an opposites attract couple. He is a man’s man loving sports and all things outdoors. She is a girly girl who hated the outdoors, until she met Robert… On their wedding day when we did our interviews with both of them they talked about how they had introduced each other to things that they never thought they would do and how now that they were with each other they felt so alive. Isn’t that so sweet???
They got married at St. Joan of Arc Church and had their reception at Marriot McDowell Mountain Ranch Resort. Kiss The Bride Weddings planned the event and David De Dios Photography was onsite to capture all of the beautiful images. Keith & Becky got married on April 25th at Keith’s parents home in beautiful Paradise Valley. This was his childhood home and it was always his dream to get married there. They had to build out the space for the event and it was absolutely incredible. They created a “wedding court” that they utilized for the cocktail hour and later on in the evening for dancing and entertainment that was provided by The Chadwicks a local band that is a favorite of the couples. We had the pleasure of working with some great vendors that evening including The Ritz Carlton who catered the event and LaCombe Photography. It was a gorgeous evening. The wedding film of Brittany and Dustin Pelletier. Married on February 28th 2009 at Las Sendas. Brittany and Dustin were such great couple to shoot because not only were they a beautiful couple on the inside and out but they had a great story to how they met. He is from Canada, she is from Arizona and they met at Country Thunder. He gave her his number and the phone that they stored the number in fell in a Porta Potty!! So she figured it wasn’t meant to be until then she saw him the next day and their story began. I love couples who have great love stories. He is from Canada and was here for Country Thunder how random….
Their wedding was beautiful. Lots of quaint details. They had some great vendors. We had the pleasure of shooting with Lasting Images Photography for the first time and this team of girls was awesome! The entertainment was provided by AZ Celebrity DJ who was excellent! It was a gorgeous night!
I am pleased to say that Brittany and Dustin have started their new life together in Canada!!
